Vietnam’s government and local administrations have been committed to economic growth and development for more than a quarter-century. During the pandemic, Vietnam’s public health response to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic was handled with a proactive containment strategy and decisive central government. The government acted quickly to inform and keep citizens involved with their response.

With strong government and organizational support, it was not a surprise that Spartronics Vietnamese workers refused to stop production at a time that was uncertain and challenging. Spartronics Vietnam is known as a low-cost country alternative for PCBA contract manufacturing and box build contract manufacturing of highly complex electronic and electromechanical products for industries such as commercial aerospace, space, medical devices, life sciences and industrial applications. Early in the pandemic, the entire Vietnam workforce created a stronger bond as one team and continued to outperform while continuous guidelines such as social distancing, quick tracing and vaccinations were normalized. With CDC guidelines and at one point where the Vietnamese government increased lock downs during the worst time of the pandemic, team members volunteered for “shelter in place at work” to continue driving commitment and strengthen positioning with Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) partners. Dung Tran, Vice President of Low-Cost Countries for Spartronics said, “Although, we all have been affected by the pandemic, it has changed the way we work, live and play. It was a real test to sustain and focus on our core values with employees-first culture and determination for customer satisfaction”.

Vietnam government is set to re-open its borders around March 15, 2022, which is a true testament for the country who has successfully hit a milestone on vaccinations and herd immunity. The country is excited for the opportunity to welcome back visitors traveling for vacation and those returning to do business. The excitement to welcome back partners into the Spartronics site for in-person collaboration has been shared among the entire workforce. Dung Tran stated, “It is a great sense of relief and no more fear as all employees received full vaccinations. People can now fully focus on getting things done and growing our business”.

Now that the pandemic seems to be winding down, Spartronics Vietnam is placing additional focus and excitement on the completion of their new facility in Binh Duong City which is set to open this summer. The location will expand the company’s capacity for state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing services. The new 270,000 square-foot facility will be LEED Gold Certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) consisting of a solar rooftop which is four times the space as the company’s current Vietnam location and is located near major air and seaports. It will be part of the Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park and replace the company’s current site, which also is in Binh Duong City.
