Jeffrey T. Schlarbaum
Chief Executive Officer
Jeffrey joined Spartronics in 2022 as Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the management of the organization’s overall operations. Prior to joining Spartronics, Jeffrey was President & Chief Executive Officer of electronic contract manufacturing services company IEC Electronics Corp (NASDAQ:IEC). From 2015 to 2022, during his tenure at the helm of IEC Electronics Corp, gross profit margins more than doubled and, over the course of six years, sales grew at a CAGR of 24%. In October 2021, he successfully led the sale of IEC to global electronics manufacturing service business Creation Technologies. Prior to re-joining IEC Electronics in 2015, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the privately-held laser & optics technology company Lasermax, where he was responsible for all facets of day-to-day operations. From 2005 to 2013, Jeffrey held a variety of roles including President, Executive Vice President, and President of Contract Manufacturing at IEC Electronics Corp where he successfully led its revitalization journey resulting in its transformation from $19M and less than 100 employees to $145M and 950 employees. Earlier in his career, he held executive positions at electronic manufacturing service companies Plexus Corp (NASDAQ:PLXS) and Micron Custom Manufacturing.
Jeffrey brings over 25+ years of electronics manufacturing services expertise and leadership to Spartronics. He also sits on the board of Lakeland Industries (NASDAQ:LAKE) as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude from National University, San Diego, CA, and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA.
Michael R. Schlehr
Chief Financial Officer
Mike joined Spartronics in January 2023 as an accomplished CFO with over 20 years of leadership roles in finance and operations for manufacturers in diverse industries, including over 12 years’ experience in the electronics industry. He has held positions of CFO and General Manager for companies focused on circuit board assembly, raw circuit board fabrication, and full-box builds supplying the aerospace and defense markets, medical, industrial, and government administration sectors. While acting as CFO for IEC Electronics, a publicly traded company, Mike led due diligence and financing efforts associated with the acquisitions of a PCBA company and a Wire and Cable Harness company.
Mike has extensive experience in other markets including heavy capital equipment, packaging, paper, logistics, and food manufacturing. He has been an officer reporting to the Board of Directors of both Publicly Traded and Private Equity owned companies. He has operated his own industrial property rehabilitation and sale company and has most recently been a consolidation and integration consultant to a Private Equity organization actively involved in acquisitions.
Mike has dual bachelor of science degrees with honors, in majors of accounting and operational management, from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He has also completed post graduate work in operational management and project management at the State University of New York at Buffalo and Penn State University.
Mike and his family make their home in Rochester, NY.
Debbie Cardon
Vice President, Human Resources
Debbie joined Spartronics in February of 2023 as Vice President, Human Resources. Debbie will lead Spartronics Human Resources functions including the design and execution of a global people strategy including organizational development, benefits and total rewards, as well as talent acquisition and succession planning for all U.S., Mexico, and Vietnam sites.
Prior to joining Spartronics, Debbie has an accomplished career of over 20 years in people strategy for medium to large-sized organizations across North America.
Most recently, Debbie worked for Creation Technologies as Vice President People and Culture Global Operations as a result of the Acquisition of IEC Electronics in 2021. During her time at Creation, Debbie spearheaded the integration of HR policies, procedures and talent acquisition strategy for operations to drive a one-company culture Previously, she held the role of Vice President of Human Resources for IEC Electronics where she strategically led and directed a full-service HR department to foster growth and organizational effectiveness including contributing to the relocation of two new manufacturing facilities, while driving change through the transition.
Prior to IEC Electronics, Debbie has served in leadership positions at various organizations, including Superior Plus Energy Services, ADT Security Services, and Marriott International.
Debbie earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, NY and a master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from St. Francis College in Loretta, PA.
Chris Casey
Vice President, Integration & Business Transformation
Chris joined Spartronics in February of 2023 as Vice President, Integration and Business Transformation. Chris leads Spartronics’ business integration agenda, which encompasses its digital transformation roadmap. With over 15 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry and a strong background in IT, Chris is able to navigate across departments and business processes to ensure strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives are both pragmatic and executable. Most recently, Chris held the position of Project Management Office Director at Creation Technologies after the acquisition of IEC Electronics to Creation. While at Creation, Chris delivered a multi-year data management strategy, as well as helped its IT organization scale its delivery processes. Previous to the Acquisition, Chris held the role of Vice President of Business Transformation & IT at IEC Electronics, where he was responsible for its successful multi-year digital transformation strategy, as well as its transition into a new state-of-the-art Manufacturing facility.
Chris has an accomplished career with over 20 years’ of experience as a change agent, an organizational leader, a proiect leader, and ultimately a transformational executive. He brings with him a proven track record of delivering operational strategies, complex projects, and technology roadmaps at top tier companies such as Rich Products, Xerox, and Harris Corporation.
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree of science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dung Tran
Vice President, Far East Operations
Dung Tran has led as Vice President & General Manager, Industrial since May of 2022, and in January of 2023 was named Vice President of Far East Operations. His experience growing Spartronics Vietnam has provided Dung a unique and valuable perspective to take on the Industrial segment globally for Spartronics.
Previously, Dung lead both the Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Tecate, Mexico, businesses for Spartronics. He has led the growing Vietnam business for Spartronics prior to the acquisition of Inovar in September 2021, after which he assumed responsibility for the Tecate factory as well. Today, Dung is responsible for the entire Vietnam Operation, from customer pre-engagement, manufacturing, fulfillment and post-sales support.
Since joining Sparton Corporation in 2014, Dung has increased the business in Vietnam — a facility preferred by discerning medical and industrial multi-national companies. He built a winning team and culture, which account for the success enjoyed by Spartronics in Vietnam. Prior to joining Sparton, Dung spent his career in Silicon Valley, where he held senior technical positions at Cisco and Hewlett-Packard.
Dung earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a master’s degree in engineering (EECS) from Santa Clara University. He attended the Yale School of Management in connection with its Global Executive Leadership Program. Dung also earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Bob Belanger
Vice President, North American Operations
Bob joined Spartronics in mid-2022 to lead the global operations for Spartronics. In January of 2023, Bob was named Vice President of North American Operations. His responsibilities at Spartronics include engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and facilities activities across all U.S. locations.
Prior to joining Spartronics, Bob worked for Carrier Corporation, where he led some of their largest global business transformation projects, such as transfers of work, factory expansions and shutdowns, new product introductions, and recently their response to global supply chain shortages. He also served in various operations roles in the Building & Industrial Systems business of United Technologies. Previously, he held various operations and engineering roles at General Electric and SPX.
Bob earned a bachelor’s degree of science in operations from Southern New Hampshire University.
Larry Veiga
Vice President, Business Development
Larry Veiga has led business development for Spartronics since January 2021, following his appointment in connection with the acquisition of Primus Technologies. Prior to joining Spartronics, Larry was the Chief Commercial Officer of Primus Technologies, where he was instrumental in refocusing Primus on aerospace and defense business. Prior to joining Primus in 2015, Larry was with Flextronics since 2010 in senior roles, including Senior Director of Business Development for markets including Aerospace & Defense as well as Security. Previously, he was General Manager for the Flextronics factory in Valencia, California, and held other roles at Flextronics including Director of Account Management. Prior to Flextronics, Larry was Vice President of Programs for Stellar Manufacturing, where he was responsible for new customer development, program budgeting, program management and customer contracts.
Larry’s career depth in EMS spans early entrepreneurial experience to Tier 1 operations and business development. He possesses a depth of knowledge in all facets of EMS and its manufacturing processes and markets, including microelectronics, aerospace and defense including space applications, as well as medical products including implantable devices.
Michelle Brenno
Vice President, Legal & General Counsel
Michelle joined Spartronics in mid-2022 as Vice President, Legal & General Counsel. Michelle will lead Spartronics’ legal function including transactional matters, contract management, claims and litigation, risk mitigation and overall general corporate legal matters.
Prior to joining Spartronics, Michelle has an accomplished career in corporate law. Most recently, Michelle held the position of Associate General Counsel at Daikin Applied Americas in Minneapolis, where she started 24 years ago as a Contracts Manager and took on increasing levels of responsibility in the Legal group there over her tenure there. Michelle has outstanding experience in contracts management, commercial litigation and dispute management, mergers & acquisitions, real estate transactions, and risk mitigation. Previous to joining Daikin Applied, Michelle was Contracts Administrator at Alaska Airlines, based in Seattle, Washington.
Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree of arts in economic & political science from the University of St. Thomas and a Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar, Washington County Bar, and of the Association of General Counsel.
Kyle Belnap
Vice President, Program Management
Kyle joined Spartronics in November 2023 as the vice president of program management. In his role, he is responsible for leading program management teams across the Spartronics organization. With a passion for customer service excellence, Kyle strives to develop and work with highly effective internal groups to deliver results to customers. He is a servant leader who is excited to support the success and growth of each site within Spartronics.
Kyle has more than 15 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing services industry, with a strong collective background in engineering, operations, continuous improvement and program management. Most recently, he served as the vice president and general manager at the Albuquerque, N.M., site for Creation Technologies.
Kyle earned a bachelor’s degree in production and operations management from Boise State. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
